Round 1 of the Captain’s Trophy Match Play was contested today under better conditions than last Saturday’s qualifying round. All matches were very tight with three matches going past the 18th hole for a result.

Today’s event was the Virginia Cup Monthly Medal Single Stroke and considering the blustery conditions players had to endure the scores were still quite good. The Captain’s Trophy Match Play was also played in conjunction with the Monthly Medal, and
