The results for the Women’s Medal of Medals are complete and after a solid second round today of 68 nett and a total of 142 Karen Barton has stormed to the front to win by three shots from Rose Pullinger on 145. Ann Squires on 150 and Noelene Stoney with 152 rounded out the top four scores. The results can be seen by clicking here.
The Men’s side of things was a closely contested event with Kieron Lawley taking a one shot lead after his first round score of 68 nett. Karl Vorhauser was always going to be thereabouts being one shot back on 69 nett. Today It was Mark Chaplin in the end that hit the lead after the second round and with a score today of 71 nett for a total of 141 this was enough to win by one shot from Scott Maguire and Karl Vorhauser on 142. A reminder to those members that want to play in tomorrow’s closing weekend 4 ball best ball there are still some spots available on the time sheet, 11:30am registration and sausage sizzle with a 12:30pm shotgun start.
