Dear Members, just a quick update after overnight & continuing rain this am.
Simply put, it is extremely wet, examples are water is running a couple of feet over the 27th green. 19th fairway & driving range, there is a large lake from the 18th dam across the 13th, 1st & 2nd fairways, plus the more usual lake below the 10th tee & 20th fairways and across the 6th fairway & 21st fairways. There has been significant debris including large logs washed through Downfall creek and we are as yet unable to assess any damage to bridges and/or some other areas of the course due to access issues.
The Courses are closed today but Club House open til 8.30 pm for meals & drinks, the Pro Shop remains open. We will try to have another inspection after the high tide today around 2.00 pm (which thankfully is moderate), it appears highly unlikely that there will be golf tomorrow at least, and most probably no carts over the weekend but we will advise further this afternoon.
