Dear Members, probably not a surprise to any, but unfortunately all competitions scheduled for tomorrow at VGC have been cancelled. It is highly likely the course will remain closed tomorrow but we will continue to assess conditions over tomorrow to determine if ‘walking’ golf might be possible tomorrow (afternoon). Please call the Pro Shop tomorrow for any further update.
The course remains extremely wet and unplayable with water across a number of fairways this afternoon, there is currently no access to 1st green, 3rd tee, 13,14 & 15th holes etc. The bridge on the 13th rock burn remains under water this afternoon. There is quite a low tide level tonight which we hope will allow much of the surface water on the course to drain over night & into tomorrow.
The Club House & Pro Shop will remain open tomrrow for members who wish to grab a bite or a drink, have a practice putt etc.
We will update tomorrow early afternoon in relation to Sunday play.& competition.
