Dear Members, following an inspection this am we can now confirm the playing conditions for tomorrow, Saturday 27th March.

Main Course. The Main course will be open for competition play tomorrow as normal. Golf Carts will be permitted on course but are strictly limited to rough areas only. Please do not use Golf Carts on fairways as many fairways still have wet patches, particularly around entry areas to greens, golf carts will cause significant damage to these areas.

Members are asked to do their best to protect the fairways and green entry points and to avoid obvious wet patches in rough areas in the use of golf Carts. For example, when traversing the 13th hole gully area, please stay as far to the right of the gully as possible avoiding the wet area in the gully near the 13th dam and other known and obvious areas of the course which take longer to dry out.

Holes 6 & 10 will be ‘short’, playing as par 3’s, whilst we have been able to prepare most bunkers, staked bunkers (only) will be out of play, preferred lies will apply.  We hope to have all fairways mown by tomorrow morning but will be unable to get to most rough areas where grass will be longer than normal. This is simply a result of time given we have only been able to use mowers from this am.

Heritage Course. The Heritage Course will be open tomorrow for Competition. Unfortunately Golf carts will not be able to be used on the Heritage course tomorrow due to the course condition. Whilst obviously still wet in places, the Course will be playable tomorrow. Given the conditions since the weekend, we have been unable to mow fairways and rough areas this week so grass, particularly in rough areas, is longer than is normal. Preferred lies will be in place for tomorrow’s competition.

Tony.
