Following the update from Prime Minister Scott Morrison this morning to limit indoor gatherings over 100 people, we are currently seeking clarification on how this advice pertains to our club.

In the interim, we have implemented the following measures:

  • Our club is open for business within our normal trading hours
  • We will monitor and limit capacity to 100 patrons/staff in the clubhouse at any one time
  • Our services available include Golf, Bistro, bar and gaming.
  • Social Distancing is being promoted. This must be considered in in all parts of the venue, you will notice that our inside seating has been altered to follow this. We do ask that you do not move the furniture any closer.
  • Cleaning frequently touched surfaces – ensuring an appropriate cleaner is used in regularly wiping down surfaces throughout the venue (including door handles, tables and chairs, handrails, ATM’s and gaming machines etc.).
  • We are encouraging contact less payments, this can be via just telling the staff your member number, or tap’n’go.
  • Limiting shared contact, this includes buffet or self serve catering options.

We unfortunately will not be having our Saturday morning BBQ on the terrace available, BUT you can still order from the bar area, as we will have a chef cooking made to order breakfasts from 6am.

The complimentary cheese and biscuits will also be temporarily suspended for our members.

We will not be supplying water stations on our bar tops, and the staff will supply cutlery with your meal.

We can still hold events at this stage, keeping in mind the social distancing, and the catering options will all be modified or amended to follow all our best practice guidelines.

Our senior management team are continuing to monitor the above and will be providing regular updates as more information comes to hand.

We are actively looking at options and outcomes if any of the suggested situations arise in the current situation.

We have just partnered with UBER eats, and we can have food delivered to our local area.

We also encourage that whilst you’re out playing golf, you can order take away food from our bistro. You can call   07 3267633 and pay using your members card, or credit card.

We thank all our members and guests for their understanding and support through this difficult time.

7 Things we can do :

  1. How should you handle your golf clubs?

You should wipe down the edges of the bag, the handle of the club, the parts that touch the golf cart,

  1. How should you handle your golf balls?

Use of hand sanitise and hand washing should again be as welcomed as picking up your ball from the cup

  1. How should you handle your golf glove?

Hand sanitise for your glove, too, though not ideal, as it will create some slickness.

 Or even an antibacterial wipe.

  1. How should you handle the golf cart?

Walking might be the way to go, but if you ride, you wipe. Wipe the steering wheel and seat and minimise the risk of other people who have used the cart

  1. How should you handle your mobile phone during the round?

Keep it somewhere where it’s not put directly on the dashboard of the cart,

While using the phone, try to keep it on one person. If you have a phone that can be wiped down, that’s great. At a minimum, you should be thinking of hygiene. Just use common sense

6. How should you handle the clubhouse?

Get in, get out and keep your distance, sit outdoors. Wash and sanitise hands again

Staff to spray and wipe, and sanitise tables, chair handles, menus, bar tops, door handles, and where that maybe touched by others. Encourage tap payments, and giving member number instead of handling member’s cards. Less contact the better!

  1. How should you handle playing partners?

In general, don’t shake hands and do something else, like an elbow bump, as elbows are not high-contaminated areas.  Do welcome your playing partners and say congrats. Just find different ways than a handshake to express gratitude
