Dear Members, an update on a couple of Items.

Golf Carts. We have received correspondence from Golf Australia late yesterday advising that we are able to remove the restrictions we have had on the use of Golf carts thereby allowing 2 people who are not from the same household to share a golf cart. Golf Australia further advise that this has been specifically endorsed by the Chief Health Officer. Whilst those members who have followed this event and social distancing protocols closely (which have not been changed in any way) may find this a little confusing given the requirement of 1.5 meters separation remains in place, from tomorrow 7th June, those members or guests who choose to share a cart with another person will be able to do so. Cart hire prices will revert to $35 for members and $42 for non members from tomorrow 7th June.

Club House. As we have advised last week, the Club House will re-open from Friday 12th June. Whilst we are delighted to be re-opening, there will be restrictions on members and guests initially, in accordance with the Covid Safe protocols for re-opening which we will be required to observe. These restrictions include having no more than 20 people inside the club house and 20 in the outdoor terrace area at any one time (excluding staff), a requirement for us to keep a register of all members who enter the club house or terrace area, seated service only (no ‘at bar’ service), members will be unable to move between the inside and outside areas, traffic controls for entry & exit of the club house as far as is practicable, no communal dishes such as bowls of chips, a requirement to sanitise hands upon entry to both the clubhouse and outdoor seated areas, 1.5 meter separation when seated at all times etc. etc.. At this time we understand there will not be a mandated requirement to have a meal with alcohol service. Our staff will be on hand to support members as we try our best to adopt to these requirements.

Thank you to all members who have supported the club and the covid compliance requirements we have had to have in place since March. Its great to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel in terms of reverting to some sort of normality, but unfortunately, we have a few weeks to go. Your continued patience and understanding as we move through the easing of restrictions stages is greatly appreciated.

Tony.
