Hi Members, our Pennants team did us proud on Sunday vs. Jindalee, winning 16.5 – 4.5 WHAT A GREAT RESULT AT HOME!

OPENS Won 10-1 and the winners were:
Bruce Button(2/1), Corey Harmer(7/6), Alex Hall(7/5), Ben Garland(3/2), Josh Brumm(6/5), Iain Simmons(3/2), Matt Jean(6/4), Justin Cooke(5/4), James Tulloch(8/6) and Richard Baughan(7/6).
MASTERS lost 3.5-1.5:
The sole winner was Ian Sevens(6/4) with Dean Birch squaring his match. Ben Webb who was contacted at 5.30am due to illness of Curt Mathews went right to the last hole before losing his match – great team commitment!
JUNIORS Won 5-0 and they were all winners:
Kaleb Doolan(7/5), Jed Brady(3/1), Aiden Craig(5/4), Harry Black(7/6) and Harry Price(10/8)
These results put us in a really strong position with Jindalee easily winning their 1st match before coming to VGC.

Next week is at Sandgate – all members are welcome to attend and support the team.
It is great to see the team spirit with most players being able to stay around for the luncheon and most importantly sing along with our choir leader Ben Garland.
Also a big Hullo to Joey Passmore who is serving overseas for another week or so – everyone wishes you all the best Joey and can’t wait till you can join in the celebrations and watch Benny nearly have a coronary leading the singing.
A double celebration with Zach Maxwell winning the 36 hole Carbrook event(held over 2 days) – with a 7 under total. WELL DONE ZACH.
