The Final of the 2018 R.W Wilson Memorial 4BBB Match Play was held in perfect conditions on Saturday 2 June.
The Final was between Mark Shaw & Curt Mathews, looking for their 3rd straight win, against Shane Twomey & Brendan Behm.
In a tight tussle, the first four holes were all halved. Curt & Mark won the 5th, but Shane & Brendan hit back immediately winning the 6th.
Curt & Mark birdied both 7 & 8 to go to 2 up. They also won the 10th to go 3up.
Shane & Brendan fought back to win the 12th.
The match was Dormie at the 15th with a win to Curt & Mark, and they finally triumphed on the 16th, winning 3 & 2.
Curt & Mark had to be at their best to win, demonstrated by having 5 birdies between them for the day.
