The final rounds of the 2025 Men’s Club Championships,  Heritage Curlew Cup, Women’s Weekend Championships and Junior Girls Championship are complete.  The full list of scores and results can be seen below.

A Grade Gross :   Steve Sinclair has done it again and gone back to back to notch up his 12th victory in this event, after rounds of 71-76-69-70 a total of 287 its complete.   The triumphs in this event for Steve include   2004-05,  2014-19,  2022-2024 and now 2025 what an effort Steve.  Sam batch finished second with rounds of 74-74-76-75 total 299, and Greg Tagg 79-73-76-77 total 305 with Hamish McKnight finished in fourth place a fantastic effort from the leading VGC Junior 75-72-72-86 total 305.  The full list of results can be seen here.

Juniors Gross :  Hamish McKnight back to back has taken the Junior Championship with scores of 75-72-72-86 total 305 another great effort in 2025 to go with last years win well done Hamish. The full list of results can be seen here.

          

B Grade Gross :   Subhash Chand a front running effort has taken out the B Grade Gross with round of 81-82-83-86 total 332, but not by a big margin with Joshua McClelland 84-82-81-87 total 334 has finished second.  The full list of results can be seen here.

C Grade Gross : What a turnaround here! after trailing Bill Brown by 11 shots coming into this round Aaron Kirkby has has stormed home in Brisbane Lions fashion to win with scores of 98-96-89-91 total 374 a four shot lead from R/up Tony Wiseman 96-94-90-98 total 378.  The full list of results can be seen here.                                 

Graded Nett :  A Grade, The ever reliable Karl Vorhauser has taken the Nett with rounds of 72-70-67-78 total 287, two shots clear of Jeremy Betts on 75-78-67-69 total 289.   B Grade, Bobby Singh has won B Grade with rounds of 73-69-71-70 total 283, just three shots clear of Todd Allen with rounds of 69-73-69-75 total 286, a fine effort.   C Grade Well there had to be a prize for Bill Brown and after scores of 66-63-77-86 total 292 Bill finished on top of the Nett scores, still a solid four rounds there.  The full list of results can be seen here.

Seniors GrossWell no surprises here Steve Sinclair is well on his way to making the seniors championship his own with a solid win after rounds of 71-76-69-71 total 287.  After starting the day with a twelve shot lead the writing was on the wall with a convincing win.  Greg Tagg with rounds of 79-73-76-77 total 305 was the next to finish.  The full list of results can be seen here.

Curlew Cup Rd 3 :  Henry Akes  has come from behind to win the Curlew Cup by four shots in the end with a Nett score of 135 score of 31-34- total 135 from Rhett Harmer 139 and Sandy Henderson 140.  Garry Fraser and  to come in third spot.  Over the four rounds we had 256 players contest the Curlew Cup for the 2025 event so a great effort from all members.  The full list of result can be seen here

Women’s Weekend Championship first round :  Well the order didn’t really change and it seems like its a theme for 2025, Back to Back as Abbie Cook has held on to win the Women’s Weekend Championships with two solid rounds of 82-82 total 164 a six shot win over Ava Latimer 83-87 total 170.  Ivoni Maguire 89-89 total 178 and Kea Schwarz 89-92 total 181 rounding off the top four placings.    The full Gross results can be seen here.   Ivoni Maguire has won the Nett with two great scores of 74-74 total 148 , just three shots clear of Bella Swan 75-76 total 151 The full Nett result can be seen here

 Junior Girls Championship : Played over 18 holes of stroke play Abbie Cook has won the the Junior Girls Championship with a solid round of 82 gross, well done Abbie.  Cassie Macdonald has won the Nett prize with a great score of 72 Nett.
