The third round of the 2025 Men’s Club Championships and Heritage Curlew Cup are complete and with cooler cloudy conditions the field just managed to finish their rounds this afternoon. Todays event was played as the September Monthly Medal and also saw the Women’s Weekend Championships kick off, this event is played over 36 holes of Gross scores.
A Grade Gross : With a superb third round of 69, two under today Steve Sinclair is back in front and we all know what happens when he gets in this position during the club Championships. After scores of 71-76-69 total 216 Steve is looking for his 12th win in this event and looks very much like 2024. Hamish McKnight 75-72-72 total 219 will be sure to take this to the wire, this will be a hot group next Saturday. The full list of results can be seen here. B Grade Gross : Subhash Chand as he does leads the way by one shot and with round of 81-82-83 total 246 has a narrow lead from Joshua McClelland 84-82-81 total 247 is sure to make it a close finish next week. The full list of results can be seen here
C Grade Gross : Bill Browne needs to post but after three rounds of 88-85-99 still has a lead of eight shots so should be able to hold on to make it some sort of win in C Grade. Tony Wiseman96-94-90 total 280 and Henry Akes 95-97-89 total 281 will be the players that are going to try and run Bill down in the end. The full list of results can be seen here
Graded Nett : Hamish McKnight 207 leads A Grade by two shots from Karl Vorhauser 209. Subhash Chand on 207 leads B Grade by four shots from Todd Allen and Josh McCelland both on 211. Bill Browne on top everywhere leads C Grade on 206 eight shots clear of Roger Tesch 214. The full list of results can be seen here.
Juniors Gross : Hamish McKnight is well and truly on his way to go back to back in the Junior championship with another solid round today and with scores of 75-72-72 total 219 is well on top here. The full list of results can be seen here.
Seniors Gross : Steve Sinclair is well on top in the Seniors gross with a twelve shot lead heading into the final round next Saturday, the next back is Greg Tagg on 228. The full list of results can be seen here.
Curlew Cup Rd 3 : Rhett Harmer has made his way to the top of the positions with a solid score of 33 nett witch put him in the lead with a combined total of 102, just one shot clear of Garry Fraser 103 and Henry Akes also 103. Women’s Weekend Championship first round : Abbie Cook leads the way after round 1 with a solid score of 82, just one stroke ahead of Ava Latimer on 83 and Kea Schwarz and Voni Maguire both with first rounds of 89. The full Gross results can be seen here. Cheryl Rogers and Helen Masterson both share the lead in the Nett result with a score of 71 Nett, just one shot clear of Tracey Duggan on 72.
