CONSIDERATION FOR OTHER PLAYERS

Members should avoid causing damage to the course by removing divots when taking practice swings or by hitting the head of the club into the ground, whether in anger or for any other reason.

In order to avoid damaging the hole, players and caddies should not stand too close to the hole and should take care when handling the flagstick and removing a ball from the hole (COVID 19 regulations providing). The head of a club should not be used to remove a ball from the hole. When using a ball scoop or claw device on the putter to remove the ball from the hole, care must be taken to not damage the lip on the hole by using the hole as a leverage point. The flagstick should be properly replaced in the hole before players leave the putting green, ensuring the edge of the hole is not damaged in anyway.

Members should always show consideration to other players on the course and should not disturb their play by moving, talking or making any unnecessary noise. On the putting green, players should not stand on another player’s line of putt when making a shot or cast a shadow over the line of play of another player whilst that player is putting. Members should not stand close to or directly behind the ball, or directly behind the hole, when a player is about to putt.

Members should ensure that any electronic devices taken onto the course does not distract other players. Players are expressly forbidden from taking photos, video clips and/or sound recordings of other members including children without the express consent of the member and/or parent/guardian of a child being given prior to the photograph, video or recording taking place.
