Dear Members, following on from our advice yesterday, the Main Course will be available for social play and the ‘niners sip n chip’ tomorrow Friday 9th April, although unfortunately golf carts will not be permitted on course tomorrow.

Scheduled competition play over the weekend on the Main Course will proceed as planned. We are hopeful that golf carts might be able to be used on course on Saturday, but if so, will be strictly limited to rough areas only. A further update on course conditions and use of carts on Saturday will be provided tomorrow afternoon after a course inspection.

The Saturday competition on the Heritage Course will not proceed as the Heritage Course is simply too wet. Some social play might be available on some Heritage holes on Saturday, we will advise Heritage members further in our update tomorrow in relation to social play on Saturday. Heritage members who wish to can access the main course competition of Saturday, subject only to booking availability (bookings by Heritage Members for the main course competition on Saturday can be made through the pro shop 3267 6333 #1).

Further update tomorrow.

Pro Am

As previously advised, the 2021 Breakas Beach VGC Pro Am will be held this year on Friday 23rd April.

The morning time sheet for this significant VGC event will be released to members via the website at 5.00 pm on Monday 12th April. The time sheet will be open to members only until Monday 19th April, at such time the sheet will be opened up to interested visitors. Cost for Pro Am morning players remains $60 for members / $80 for visitors (inclides lunch etc.). Members are requested to prepay before the event (to pro shop).

There has been great interest from Professionals and our many long standing sponsors in supporting the event with professional’s prize money this year being increased to $20K. We also have fantastic hole in one prizes being a Mazda car on the 3rd, $10,000 prize on 14th hole, and a Yamaha Golf cart on 9th hole (as well as great NTP prizes should no player hole out on the day). As has been the case for many years, Knudsen’s Betta Electrical Virginia will continue to support the Club with great prizes for the Pro Am teams event.

More to come.

Tony.
