Today saw the first round of the 2026 Men’s Summer Cup played in conjunction with the February Monthly Medal round. The Summer Cup is an Honour Board Event played over 36 holes of Single Stroke, the best 8 gross scores
This Saturday sees the return of the Men’s 2026 Summer Cup a 36 hole Gross Event. The winner of the Summer Cup is the player with the best Gross score after two rounds in all grades A,B & C.

Members, we write to advise of the recent passing of former VGC member Ken Durston. Ken was a member of VGC for 31 years and resigned from the Club in 2017 due to ill health.

Members, just an update on planed works and timelines for the previously advised bathroom renovations at VGC.
Works will commence on the bathrooms project from next Monday 16th February which will see the installation of temporary toilets at the rear
Dear Members,
We write to advise of the passing of VGC Life Member Jack Rayner, who died peacefully yesterday on the Sunshine Coast after an illness. Jack was 95.
Jack joined VGC in 1947 and was awarded VGC Life Membership

On course, members will have noted the continuing works on cart paths, with the 6th hole recently completed along with the pathing from the 12th tee area
The Bravehearts Charity Golf Day will be held on Monday 2 March, 2026. All funds raised for the event will be donated to Bravehearts to support their continuing education programs to protect Australian kids from sexual abuse.
