Members, just an update on planed works and timelines for the previously advised bathroom renovations at VGC.
Works will commence on the bathrooms project from next Monday 16th February which will see the installation of temporary toilets at the rear of the club house down the ramp from the breezeway. Following this, the women’s and disabled bathrooms will be decommissioned from Friday 20th February, with demolition works planned from the 23rd February. Renovation works on these bathrooms are expected to be completed by approximately 13th April (subject to variations). During this time, women and disabled persons will utilise the temporary facilities. Once the women and disabled person’s bathrooms are completed, works will commence on the men’s bathrooms with men utilising the temporary bathrooms until completion, expected at this time to be approx. 5 to 6 weeks.
At the moment, we currently expect all works to be completed by the end of May.
We will do our best to minimise member inconvenience during these works and thank you in advance for your patience. We look forward to the completion of this really important upgrade to the VGC Clubhouse being completed.
Secondly, and really only an impact for a few days, there will be carpark works undertaken oer the next few days on the damaged bitumen area imediately adjacent to the ‘sandbox’ at the front of the carpark. Areas effected will be the 1st 3 rows of parking, Cars parked in these rows will have to exit/reverse out towards the 12th. These works will be competed by Tuesday next week (weather permitting).
