The 2024 Summer Cup is well and truly underway with the first round being played in steamy hot conditions throughout the day.
The Summer Cup was also played in conjunction with the February Monthly Medal. The Summer Cup is an Honour Board Event played over 36 holes of Single Stroke, the best 8 gross scores in each grade A, B & C will be seeded to compete in the second round next Saturday March 2nd with tee times being between 10:53 – 11:28am from the 1st tee. The Summer Cup 36 hole gross results are also qualifying rounds for the Club Match Play Championships. The top 8 gross scores in each grade will qualify through to the match play phase of the event. The matches will be played over the following three weekends with the first round starting on Saturday March 9. Those members wishing to qualify will need to circle a YES on the score cards next Saturday and the draw for the Match Play will be available at the close the event.
Daily result for A Grade : Bryan Cooke has held on to win in a tight three way finish ocb from Warren Smith and Michael Ryan all having 67 Nett, well done to Bryan on the win. The full Nett result can be seen here.
Daily result for B Grade : Robert Pavey has taken out B grade with a cracking score of 62 nett, two shots clear of Peter Conlon 64 nett and Sean Wroe and Brenton Knudsen both one shot back with scores of 65 nett. The full Nett result can be seen here.
Daily result for C Grade : Brayden Lyons has had a day out winning C Grade with a score of 61 nett, eight shots clear of Pauly Hage and Phil Baker who both finished with 69 nett. The full Nett result can be seen here.
Women’s daily results : Copeland Watts won the women’s event with a great score of 74 nett ocb, and Noelien Kellyb also had a solid score of 76 nett ocb.
