Dear Members, following over night rain, the course remains very wet as of this afternoon. Obviously this is frustrating for all with todays competitions being cancelled.
The VGC Opening Day & Dinner scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 14th January has now been rescheduled to be held on next Sunday, 21st January. All existing bookings for the Opening day will also be rescheduled to the 21st January with a revised shotgun start time of 1.00 pm (with complimentary pre game drinks & sausage sizzle from 12 noon). Please remove your name from the Opening Day booking sheet if you are unable to play in the Opening Day event now to be held on Sunday 21st January.
Our sincere apologies to those members who were not in the Opening day field and have already booked for the competition on 21st January as these bookings have had to be cancelled. If impacted, please place your name on the waiting list for the rescheduled Opening Day & we will do our utmost to get you into the field.
Members are advised that we will endeavour to hold a single stableford competition tomorrow on the Main Course but it is highly probable that this will be ‘walking only’ with no golf carts on course. This will be determined early tomorrow am. The Heritage 9 & Driving Range will be closed at least tomorrow and possibly early next week.
