Virginia once again hosted the 12th edition of the Wayne Grady Cup at Virginia Golf Club today. The weather really did turn things on for the players this morning with some fine conditions for all players and with 67 competitors teeing it up it was sure to be a great day. There were 18 different clubs from Qld and NSW represented here today for this event so a big thank you to all players who travelled today to be here.
After the first round Lachlan Jones shot 67 to lead by two shots from Taylor Barr and the eventual winner Mitchell Revie who bot had a first round score of 69. Mitchell Revie took out the event shooting 69-69 total 138 to win by six shots from Taylor Barr 69-75 total 144 with Lachlan Jones 69-77 total 144.
The Women’s 36 hole Gross winner and back to back was Haruhi Nakatani who shot 72-75 total 147 a nine shot margin from Kirra Greer 77-79 total 156
The 36 hole Junior Gross went to Miles Romagnoli 74-75 total 149.
