Dear Members, we trust everyone is OK after the weather event of the past few days, extraordinary, and really hope everyone has got through at least relatively unscathed.

Re your Golf Club. Obviously the entire Golf course have been inundated yesterday afternoon with significant damage. All bunkers are largely destroyed, and bridges & fences damaged. There has been widespread water coverage over most/all fairways, as we are able we are assessing the course to make safe and prepare information for insurance purposes. The course will take some considerable time to repair fully.

The Golf Shop, locker rooms etc have been flooded, with loss of stock and some building damage. Volunteers will be at the club tomorrow to try to clean locker rooms etc.  The clubs golf carts have also been affected by the floodwater with about 30 carts potentially damaged, Yamaha technicians are on site today and tomorrow assessing the carts and performing maintenance tasks, changing oils, cleaning brakes, lubricating moving parts etc.

At this stage, we are unsure when we will be able have the course open. As guidance, the course will not be open for play at least for this week to Friday, an update will be provided on this later in the week when we have had the time and access to fully inspect the course and it has the opportunity to dry. As we all know, the course recovers quickly but obviously this weekend was no ‘normal’ rain event.  The Heritage Course will obviously take longer and is closed until further notice.

I believe there are some vision of conditions yesterday on face book if members are interested, as we are able, we will publish the photos we have taken.
