Dear Members, a slightly longer update on course conditions for tomorrow, Saturday 4th December (and Sunday) golf.

  • The Heritage 9 Competition for tomorrow has been cancelled. The Driving Range will be closed.  Golf can be played on the Heritage 9 tomorrow & Sunday, but it is still very wet – walking only, no carts on the Heritage Course over the weekend.Heritage Members are welcome to book into competitions on the Main Course over the weekend (subject to availability).
  • Competitions on the Main Course will proceed as scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday (subject of course to any more rain). The Course is still quite wet in the usual spots, and as far as we have been able, these areas are roped off (casual water rules apply in these areas and obviously parts of the course as applicable).
  • All bunkers on the Main Course are GUR. ‘Preferred lies’ are in place through the Green. Holes 6 & 10 tees will be forward (par 3’s for men), Men’s tees will be forward on 2 & 15, and the 1st Hole temporary green has been brought forward playing as a Par 4 for Men (358 meters for men, 300 meters for women).
  • Cart Usage. A final decision on the use of Golf carts will be made tomorrow morning at 5.00 am after a further course inspection. By means of guidance, we are somewhat hopeful carts might be able to be used on course tomorrow, again subject to any further rain. Members are asked to please note, should a decision be made to allow carts on course, it will be under strict access rules. Generally access will be rough areas only, but members will be required to exercise judgement & use common sense, (as some rough areas are also wet), for example, if you need to cross a fairway, do so in a higher area, please do not drive carts through obvious wet areas, please keep carts well away from approaches to greens etc. As above, a final decision on cart usage  will not be made until 5.00 am tomorrow and whilst we understand the importance of cart access for some members, as the course is vulnerable to damage at the moment, should carts be permitted on course tomorrow in particular, we simply ask members to exercise judgement in how the cart is used to protect the course as far as is practicable. Tony.
