Dear Members,

After completion of the golf year in August, we have been working through the priority and funding processes for the next round of course development works planned over the next 12 months.

These works will continue what members have seen over the past couple of years and are in addition to ongoing general maintenance activities. In summary, the range of new works include replacement of the 4th tee, rebuilding the 15th & 7th tee (in situ as per the work undertaken on 16th and 12th tees recently), commence the duplication of Heritage 9 tees, improving the appearance of a number of tee fronts (main course), finishing the work on the 5th fairway (crest) and replacement of the 1st green.

After discussion with the Greens Committee and with Barry, the first major project to be undertaken will be the replacement of the 1st green, which will commence in November to take advantage of the growing conditions. A temporary green will be in place whilst the replacement work is undertaken, with estimated completion of 8 to 10 weeks. The new green will be larger, consist of 2 tiers and be moved closer to the 13th dam. Works will also include the installation of 2 new bunkers and removal of the current back RHS bunker.

We will keep members posted of planned works to be undertaken periodically as we move through the year.

Tony & Glen Masterson – Greens Director
