Membership Survey

Dear Members, thank you to all who completed the recent membership survey, we received in excess of 300 survey responses and many comments.

Directors have reviewed responses and comments carefully and will consider this information in Board deliberations going forward.  Members are advised that the average rating of each question is shown on the top RHS of the question. Given that all comments made in responses are individual in nature, it is not possible to present comments at the summary level but all comments have been reviewed by Directors.

Full details of the survey responses can be found by clicking HERE.

Conditions Of Play.

Following on from the advice of 2 weeks ago that Queensland Authorities had relaxed the pre-existing restrictions on conditions of play, we thought it would be helpful just to remind members of the new arrangements for conditions of play, which a really just a return to ‘pre covid’ golf (or normal as it is described, at least for golf).

  • Bunkers are now ‘play it as it lies’ and members are asked to please use rakes to repair bunkers after playing  so the next player is not playing out of a big foot-mark (amazing how quickly we forget!).
  • Pins can be removed from the hole when putting, albeit it is very interesting to see that most players elect to leave the pin in! (and to those wondering, no, the cups are no deeper than previous, we seem to have become accustomed to the upturned cups during covid!!)
  • Members now should swap cards with their playing partner, with both to sign the completed card as before covid came along.

What is not new is the continuing request to carry a sand bucket and to fill your divots (and those made by others) and also to repair pitch marks on greens.

Its great for everyone that we have got this far as having playing restrictions eased, but as the recent lock-down indicates, we are still not out of the woods as yet. To this end, members are asked to continue the sign in regime to enter the club, and to continue to practice reasonable social distancing as is possible.

Tony.
