Dear Members, a couple of updates. In relation to the Seniors club, The Past Members/Presidents breakfast, postponed after rain a couple of weeks ago, will now be held on Tuesday 23rd February from 6.45am, breakfast will include a complementary bacon & egg roll and tea/coffee/juice.
Additionally, due to greens renovations next week, Senior members will be invited to play on the Heritage 9 next Tuesday, 9th Feb (18 holes). Tee spots have been ‘bulk booked’, so please arrive at the Club as you normally would on a Tuesday and see Pro Shop staff for tee times etc.
Lastly for today, the VGC Short game facility (chipping green and practice bunkers) was officially opened this am and is now available to all members to practice. Just a couple of ‘please don’t’ points. Please do not drive Golf Carts beyond the mesh fence or around the back of the chipping green/bunker areas, golf carts should be parked away from the green & chipping area and to the side of the pitching range to avoid inconvenience to other members using the pitching range from the tee areas.
Also, please do not attempt to hit balls over the mesh fence from the tee areas on the pitching range.These are 2 separate ‘members only’ practice areas and we would ask members to work with us to ensure we are able to use both areas concurrently and safely. We hope all members enjoy using the new short game practice facilities.
