Dear Members,

Just a short update to confirm that we will proceed with Saturday’s competition and thereafter in groups of 4. Whilst the Public Health Direction has not yet been changed in this regard, we have received information from Golf Australia that this is permitted from Saturday 16th May. We are advised by Queensland Health that the Direction is likely to be updated by Saturday.

Members are asked to continue to excercise all previously advised protocols in relation to social distance, no congregation around Pro Shop or any other area of the course including tees, practice putting green etc.  We have a very large field on Saturday (260 members playing) which is great but we are all required to ensure social distancing protocols are observed. Please do not proceed to tees until it is available for your group to play. Please also ensure that we do not have more than 4 members in the Pro Shop at any time and generally observe a 2 meter separation from others.

As before, strictly no alcohol is able to be brought onto or consumed on course.

Thank you again to members for your support of these requirements over recent weeks. Hopefully the proposed gradual easing of restrictions will see more freedom on course over the next period but as of now, the social distancing protocols remain in place for everyone’s safety.

Tony.
