Dear Members,

We write to update on a few things which have been put in place today for the next couple of weeks. Time sheets for every day up until the Easter period have been loaded for member booking. In short, we will be conducting OPEN competitions every day for the period including the normal Heritage competitions. Members can also book into competition time sheets for social golf if desired. We will also be booking social golfers into the time sheets as available but will be mindful to minimise any impact on competition players on any day. You will note that time sheets are constrained to 2 players per group.

Obviously there are strict protocols established in how we conduct both competition and social golf, particularly in respect of observing social distance protocols, no congregation of members anywhere on course including on the practice putting green and adjacent to the Pro Shop along with the other protocols we have now published a number of times in respect of cart usage (1 per cart), no touching the pin, putting with pin in, no bunker rakes etc, etc, etc..Please view previous post/ask at Pro shop if you require any further information

It is critically important that no alcohol is brought onto the course as this contravenes our existing license and is also strictly prohibited by the regulations published yesterday by the Chief Health Officer in relation to the Public Health Act (the Law). Not only is there potential for a member to be fined for doing so, it also exposes the club  to potential fines, loss of license and directed closure.  We have had a Police presence on course today which was expected and appropriate so please be mindful that we all MUST comply with the law. There is the potential for members to be asked to leave the course in the event of non compliance.

Finally, as per previous advice, the Senior’s Tuesday Group will not convene until further notice. Rod/Jim have also advised today that the Thursday Club competition will be suspended at this stage for the month of April.

Tony.
