Dear Members, following on from our email below of earlier this morning, we can advise that the Thursday Club will run as normal (or as close to normal as possible) tomorrow 26th March. Please see below for Govt imposed restrictions required for Golfers during the current social situation.

Previous email as at 7.30 am today

Dear Members, we have received advice over night that the Golf Course and Driving Range can be re-opened from this morning. Full details are not yet available and will be provided as soon as possible, but we are advised that the following arrangements can be relied upon:

  • The Pro Shop and Golf Course are open, members/guests are required to observe social distance protocols
  • All pre-existing advice re 1 person per cart, no rakes in bunkers, putting with pin in, no physical contact and maintain social distance of not less than 1.5 meters remain as previously advised.
  • The Club House remains closed for all purposes relating to the Clubs license, please note BYO alcohol is not permitted to be brought on course.
  • We are unable to sell alcohol from the Pro Shop but can sell take away food provided members do not congregate in Pro Shop or immediate confines of the Pro Shop. We are considering how we might provide such a food service for members and will advise further.
  • Please observe appropriate controls around how many people are in the Pro Shop at any one time, (maximum of 4).

Please do not come to the Club if you are unwell, but if you are well, please come and enjoy a round and support the Club.

Please bear in mind that the Club is operating on a ‘skeleton staff’ basis put in place yesterday following the direction to close, we will review these arrangements with our staff over the course of this am.  Tony.
