The R.W Wilson 4 Ball Match Play Quarter finals were played on Saturday 18 May with a heavy shower just after the commencement of the matches.
The biggest winners were the Father & Son combination of Ray & Brenton Knudsen with a 6 & 4 result over Martin Thomsett & Clive Wigley.
The biggest comeback was from Mark Farwell & Peter Roberts who were down by 4 after 8 holes, but fought back to defeat Rowan Fletcher & Curt Mathews 2 & 1.
The consistent Darren “Mini” Shepherd & Brian Adams won 3 & 2 over Jason Horrigan & Larry Pumpa.
The two Davids, Jorgensen & Bryant won 4 & 3 over another Father & Son duo Darren & Harry Black.
As the Match Play gets to the pointy end, it will be interesting to see who can hold their form over the next two weeks to take out the 2019 RW Wilson.
The Semi Finals will see Shepherd & Adams against Farwell & Roberts, and Ray & Brenton Knudsen against David Jorgensen & David Bryant.
