The 2019 Summer Cup was decided on Saturday 2 March with Zach Maxwell following up his impressive first round of 5 under, with a 2 under par 69, a total of 135. Zach was the only player to break par in either round and won by a whopping 13 shots from Chris Heinrich, Paul Connell & Steve Sinclair on 148.
B Grade was won by Ramon Jose who recorded back to back rounds of 82 to win by 3 shots over Basil Knipe, with Scott Maxwell & Brian Burgess finishing equal third.
Mike Cotton stormed home with the best round of day in C Grade of 85 to record a two shot victory over Aiden Craig, and Peter Barry in third place.
The Summer Cup is also the qualifying for the Club Match Play, where the top 8 players in each who have nominated go into the draw to win their respective grade. The first round will be played on Saturday 9 March commencing from 10.53am.
In A Grade the matches could be wide open with Zach off to compete in the Western Australia Amateur Championship this week, good luck Zach.
