Last Friday night saw the naming of squads and the presentation of shirts for the men’s weekend pennant season. In addition to the players and family members attending, the team sponsor Black and White Cabs was also represented. Greg Webb from Black and White Cabs agreed to present the player shirts, and a cap (which was also donated by Black and White Cabs) to those players who were present. Black and White Cabs has been a constant support for the club over many years in this area and their continuation in 2018 is very much appreciated.
The presentation night coincided with the Friday night BBQ and many stayed to enjoy the excellent value of a dinner at the club.
The Pennant season begins on Sunday 15th July with two away games first up at Gailes and Indooroopilly in consecutive weeks. Home games will be played on 29th July; 12th August; and 19th August. Members who would like to see some excellent amature golf are most welcome to come to watch and support Virginia’s team. Matches commence at 7.00am on the day of play with Open teams hitting off the 1st tee and Juniors and Seniors hitting off the 10th tee.
