The first round of the 2018 Captain’s Trophy Match Play was played on Saturday 21 July.
Bob Watson who was originally an emergency defeated number 1 seed Karl Vorhauser. Bob will take on Zac Maxwell who had to come from 4 down with 6 to play to defeat Ryan Bellamy on the 19th. Zac had to play some extraordinary golf to get over the line.
Mick Pullinger was taken to the 18th by Tony Oro, winning 1 up. George Roy had a more comfortable win against Peter Fowler 3 & 1. Mick and George face each other in the Quarter finals.
Darren Harmer accounted for Jedd Brady 2 & 1 and Darren Spies won 4 & 3 against James Tulloch.
Kaleb Doolan snuck home 1 up against Cory Harmer and David Trappett won 6 & 5 over Dave Holtham
