Dear Members,\u00a0 This weekend will see the return of the much anticipated Honour Board Event the R.W. Wilson Memorial,\u00a0 this is a handicap team match play event.\u00a0 Saturday’s event is the qualifying round for the match play phase with the top 32 teams going through to play the seeded draw over the following 5 weeks and concluding with the final to be played on Saturday June 5th 2026.\u00a0 \u00a0The time sheet for this event will be released tomorrow Tuesday 28th April at 5:00pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The R.W. Wilson Memorial is named in honour of the late Bob Wilson, Bob was a former Captain at Virginia Golf Club from 1957 &1958 and president, 1961 & 1962 and later Patron 1982 – 1997. Bob was considered one of the most respected and liked Virginian’s of all time.\u00a0 In 1973 the club Captain introduced the a four-ball match play tournament to be named in Bob’s honour, and over time it has become one of the clubs most prestigious events.\u00a0 See below the long list of previous winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
