Following on from Michael Crough’s resignation last week, I wish to announce that Club member Tony Bourke has agreed to take on the role of Secretary / Manager.
This appointment will be initially on an interim basis to see the Club through to the end of our financial year , with possible extension thereafter subject to agreement of the Board and Tony at that time.
Tony has been a member of the Club since 2004 and in recent years has been an active voluntary contributor as an advisor and consultant to Michael and the Board, he is currently a Director and Vice Captain.
With a professional background that has included executive level roles in operations management and human resources in a range of commercial sectors.
The Board is confident that Tony’s experience, skills and passion for VGC will enable him to make a significant contribution to the operations of our Club.
Tony will undertake a handover period during next week before commencing in the role on Monday 10th June.
